Note: The time on this graphic is incorrect. The event is beginning at 6 p.m., not 5 p.m.!
Hey, this Thursday at 6 p.m. Central, I’ll be one member of a four-author panel for my publisher, Cornerstone Press. The event is being held at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. If you can’t make it in person, it will also be live streamed and available afterward on their YouTube channel.
I’ll be reading from my speculative fiction short story collection, The Path of Totality. We’ll also be doing a panel discussion and taking questions from the audience.
I’m looking forward to meeting my publisher in person for the first time, along with the other authors!

I’ll be watching!
Thanks, Vickie!
Vickie – Just so you’re aware, the event begins at 6 pm, not 5 pm as depicted in the graphic. Oops! Someone messed up.
I just watched the youtube video. Interesting!
Hey, thanks for watching, Diana! I was impressed by how far the other authors traveled for the event: Baltimore, Austin, and Indiana. At only 4 hours away, I felt somewhat like a local Wisconsinite!
Hmmm, I think four hours is plenty far to travel in the winter! Anyhow, I thought it was done well. As a student (many, many years ago), my class watched a panel similar to this. However, despite it being years ago, I still remember one of the writers on the panel, who was very negative—to the point of discouraging young writers. I don’t remember his name, but I remember feeling let down. Your panel was the opposite of that, and I am sure the students will think about it more fondly.
Many of the students in the audience worked on our books. They take book publication classes and work on them for grades and experience. I love encouraging students to write and to see that spark of inspiration in their eyes! That’s too bad about the negative author who you experienced. He probably didn’t want any more competition. 🙂
I missed it. Is it still available to watch or listen online? 😁
Yes, if you click on the YouTube Channel link in the post, it should come up.
